My teaching assignments: Principal, ELA 6, 7, 8 and 9, Health 8, 9, High School Art & Early Childhood Education.
My educational background and experience: Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Bachelor of Education in Drama specializing in Special and Inclusive Education (both from the University of Lethbridge); I am in my final year of a Masters in Leadership and Policy Studies with the University of Alberta. I have been teaching for 16 years and this is my fifth year as a school principal. I have taught all subjects from Kindergarten to grade 9, and mostly humanities for High School.
I am married. We have two cats, named CatCat and Kitten. We have a small puppy named Lucille who often visits the school. I like to ride my bike and swim when I have spare time.
What I love most about teaching? The thing I love the most about teaching is the learning. I have an opportunity every year to learn more - just last year I learned some neat physics stuff and in the past I have learned about robotics, baking, and other great skills.
What I look forward to most this school year? I am looking forward to the return of school sports and basketball tournaments. I was really starting to enjoy going in 2020 before things shut down. I want to cheer for the Wildcats again!
